When I call my sister to vent about my problems, she wisely tells me, "Go and help someone today." Although I admit this advice is sometimes annoying, I know she is right.
Helping others helps us. It gets us out of ourselves and brings joy to others. God knows what is good for others is good for us.
Philippians 2:4 wisely counsels us, "Instead of each person watching out for their own good, watch out for what is better for others."
