Love More vs. Do More

Ephesians says we are to live a life worth our calling. I don’t feel like I’m doing that. I’m afraid I don’t measure up. I need to do more. Give more. Produce more. Help more. But then I read the following sentence describing this “worthy life”—humility, gentleness, patience, bearing with one another in love.

The truth is I don’t need to do more I need to love more—relationships over schedule. God’s economy is so different than ours. Instead of being in a rush to get it all done, I need to make time to care for others properly. Instead of driving my kids to be all they can be, I just need to love them. The same goes for my husband and my friends. Instead of being busy doing, I need to prioritize love. A worthy life is not one of accomplishments but kindness and love.
