There is nothing like being truly loved and fully known.
It is what we need more than anything else. God yearns to satisfy that longing with His love, which does not come with conditions. Oswald Chambers says it well, “No love of the natural heart is safe unless the human heart has been satisfied by God first.”
Knowing God loves us enables us to love others without needing anything in return. It stabilizes us and frees us from trying to be something we are not. It gives us the confidence to be who we really are. God created us uniquely for a purpose, and He does not make mistakes.
Receiving God’s love is a prerequisite to loving well.
This truth is found in 1 John 4:19, “We love because He first loved us.”
