Thank You vs. No Thanks

Have you ever wondered if writing a thank you note is that important?

Last Monday, I was riding on the bike trail, and I spotted an iPhone lying on the pavement. I wanted to return it to the owner, but the security prohibited me from getting ahold of the owner. Then I noticed a “thank you” text with a number, which I dialed immediately and returned the phone to its owner. That “thank you” text made it possible.

This incident made me think of how many times God does things for us without any appreciation. Sometimes we even ignore the gift of His one and only Son.

Our “no thanks” not only hurts God’s heart but ours as well. Thankfulness redirects us to the blessings we have and brings contentment. It also brings us into a closer relationship with our Creator.

God tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 to “Be thankful in all circumstances for this is God’s will.”

Please share what you are thankful for, and together, let’s praise God for all that He is doing in our lives.
